Dr. Brehon L. Hall is an International Preacher and teacher, is known for his strong prophetic gift and dynamic preaching anointing. Many ministries around the world have been blessed by his ministry gifts. He has delivered God’s word ushering others in His presence and has witnessed God heal, save and deliver His people in all 49 states in the country, with the exception of Alaska, Virgin Islands, and Hawaii. Seven foreign Countries: Bahamas, Bermuda, Haiti, Kenya, Seoul Korea, and India. Continuously exercising his ministry gifts, Dr. Hall conducts 60 seminars and workshops per year, including 100 preaching and teaching engagements per year.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Psychology from Norfolk State University, a Masters of Ministry from Richmond Virginia Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Virginia University of Lynchburg.

Dr. Hall was licensed to preach in 1981 and ordained in 1987 in the AME Church. He was also ordained in the Baptist Church in 1993 and answered the call to pastor the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. During his time at Mount Zion, he was Consecrated a Bishop in 1998.

Not only is Dr. Hall an International Preacher, he has an extensive background working in the community. This includes his social and political involvement.

Community Political and Social Involvement

Dr. Hall has previously worked with the National NAACP, Rainbow Coalition, and The Children Defense Fund. He was also an active Lobbyist on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC for two years. Dr. Hall served as an assistant to the pastor of Bethel AME, a 15,000 member church, in a role that focused on the Social Services aspect of ministry, and as the Minister of Convalescence.

Affiliations

Dr. Hall has made it a point to be of service to and has aligned himself ecumenically across denominational lines of the Baptist and AME Churches.  He currently serves as Bishop of Protocol for Global United Fellowship, under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Neil C. Ellis.

He has worked with constituents such as, Bishop John R. Bryant, Bishop Walter Thomas, Dr. Frank M. Reid, Dr. Emmett C. Burns, Pastor S.E. Hayward, and Dr. Charles Booth. This includes national leaders like Kwesi Mfume – past President of the NAACP, Reverend Jesse Jackson – President of the Rainbow Coalition, and Reverend Al Sharpton – President of the National Action Network.

Visionary

Just as man was made in the image of God, so was “New Psalmist Baptist Church”. It began as a vision from God in early December of 1998 as He began to reveal His plan to Dr. Hall. With nothing to stand on but a vision and faith, Bishop Hall said yes to God.

As he began to ask God for direction, the vision became clearer. In the later part of December of 1998, he met with a group of four individuals to share the vision of God wanting a place where He can be worshiped in Spirit and in Truth, by all nations of people.

As he began to “Write the Vision” with the scripture, Matthew 28:19-20 in his heart, he was determined to establish a diverse ministry with God and for God’s people. After the initial meeting, he realized the urgency of the calling for this ministry and immediately began to step out on the Word of God. Through much fasting and prayer, God began to reveal to him the true meaning of Word, Worship, and Witness on which the “New Psalmist Baptist Church” would be established. The first worship service was held on February 21, 1999, at Jefferson Junior High, which was the first of its temporary homes. “Greater New Psalmist Baptist Church”, renamed four years ago to embrace where God was taking the ministry, now resides in its own facilities with its revolutionary vision to “Empower, Improve, and Impact the Lives of Others through Discipleship and Demonstration”.

As the Pastor of Greater New Psalmist Baptist Church, Dr. Hall is a man of uncompromising integrity and gifting. He has labored in ministry for 30 years. With the confidence of who he is in God and the calling that is on his life, he is in fact, one of the greatest preachers anyone has ever encountered in Toledo, Ohio as well as internationally. He has a vision for the 21st Century as a loyal and dedicated servant of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
